About Me

Shariany Rodriguez brings a deep passion for helping others and a strong background in working with vulnerable youth to her role at BestLife Counseling. A graduate of University of Alabama, where she earned her degree in Social Work, Shariany has dedicated her career to supporting children and adolescents through some of life’s most challenging experiences.

With extensive experience serving youth involved in the justice system, foster care, and the Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR), Shariany has spent over seven years in leadership roles helping unaccompanied children from around the world navigate life in the United States.  Her work reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, cultural awareness, and creating meaningful change at both the individual and systemic levels.

Shariany specializes in trauma, immigration-related challenges, crisis intervention, grief, and working with children and adolescents. Her therapeutic approach is warm, creative, and client-centered, incorporating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to meet each client where they are.

At her core, Shariany is driven by a desire to make a lasting impact, whether through one-on-one clinical work or broader community efforts. She is passionate about reducing barriers to care and fostering a more compassionate, connected world.

“There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.”-Desmond Tutu
