About Me
Mya Shaw is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who earned her degree in Social Work from Stockton University. She is passionate about helping individuals heal, grow, and build the confidence needed to become the best version of themselves.
Mya brings experience working with both adolescents and adults across a variety of settings. Her background includes providing case management services to adults living with severe mental illness, helping clients access resources, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall well-being. She has also worked with families through a Housing Authority internship and supported students in a high school setting through a School-Based Youth Services internship, focusing on advocacy, resource coordination, and youth-centered support.
Mya has a special interest in working with teens experiencing anxiety as well as adults facing significant mental health challenges. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills into her work and is committed to creating a supportive, compassionate environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
